How far in advance do you book for a wedding?
We book weddings up to two years in advance. We recommend inquiring and booking sooner rather than later.
Do you only provide services for weddings?
We provide services for any event or occasion (Film and Television, Runway, Photoshoots etc.). Please inquire for pricing.
How many artists will be assigned to my wedding day?
Depending on what services are booked, the amount of people that require services and time alloted to get ready there will be 1-2 artists and potentailly an assistant assigned to your wedding day.
What do you charge for travel?
Travel within Calgary is complimentary. Anything outside of Calgary limits is $0.35/Km roundtrip.
Are you available for international travel?
Yes, of course! Please inquire for pricing.
Do you offer grooms styling?
We certainly do! Please inquire for pricing.
Can my trial be done before booking and sending the deposit?
In order to secure your date, we require a non-refundable 50% deposit and signed contact. We do not offer pre-trials prior to booking and/or securing your wedding date. You take the chance of having another bride book your day before your trial without the deposit and contract.
Do you supply clip-in hair extensions?
No, we do not, however we can install and style your extensions for an additional cost.
Is a trial required?
Yes, we require trials for all of our brides so we can experiment with different colors, products etc. to ensure the look is just right for the big day. We also go over the finer details during the trial such as timing, accent colors, bridal party looks and much more!
What is the process of a trial?
At the trial we will discuss, sample out the makeup and/or hairstyle you have chosen and modify it to fit you and make any changes if necessary. With trials, it will also allow you to wear the makeup for the day and see how it feels and holds up in preparation for your wedding day.
How long will my trial take?
Trials for both hair and makeup can take anywhere from 2-4 hours. Trials for only hair or makeup can take 1-2 hours.
Do you provide touch ups?
Final touch-ups before we part ways are complimentary, if you require touch ups throughout the day, we charge $80/hour per artist.
What brands of hair products do you use?
We use only professional hair products- Kevin Murphy, Redken, and Schwarzkopf to name a few.
What brands of make-up do you use?
We only use professional cosmetics- MAC, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Makeup Forever, and Urban decay to name a few.
If I have allergies or sensitivities to certain products/ingredients, do you have alternative products?
Kindly let us know prior to the day of services if anyone has product or ingredient sensitivities, we will ensure we have alternative products.
Can I get a re-trial?
If you happen to change your mind on your hair style or makeup, a re-trial fee will be applied.
Do you have a studio?
Amplified Artistry is completely mobile. We come to wherever you are to allow for a stress-free day!
What payment methods do you accept?
Our preferred method of payment is e-transfer, alternatively we accept Visa or Mastercard (service charge applies) cheque or cash.
Do you offer airbrush makeup?
We currently do not, but will be offering airbrush makeup in the very near future!
